Regina clutched her backpack that slung loosely off her shoulder. Anxiety filled her as she stood in front of the brick building…her new school. She had to start over…she had to. She couldn’t continue to be the talk of the old town…“The only survivor of the car crash that killed Two other people” It was too much.

When her aunt  adopted her and moved her out to San Diego California, she was thankful…it was a change of scenery, a fresh start…a new beginning. But she was scared…terrified was more like it.

She didn’t look like everyone that walked in the school, they were either blonde or brunette, tiny figured tan girls…and she was this raven haired pale skinned petite thing. She didn’t fit in, she stood out. She wasn’t ready to walk in…so she just stood there frozen almost willing herself to move, budge, make a step…but she couldn’t.
